Everyone tells that nightlife in Geneva is boring, actually it depends if you know where to go. In Geneva there are a lot of bars and night clubs, and from this year certain bars are open till 4am instead of 2am. In the topic BARS I’ll try to tell about different places for going out or just having a drink after work.
The first place I would like to talk about it’s a new bar/restaurant Capocaccia in old town, the same owner as Luigia restaurant (one of my favourite places in Geneva, more information in the restaurant topic). Actually the bar is not really new, they just moved from Confederation centre. Stylish, cosy and charming place, made with Italian touch. Almost all tables are by the windows, which is very nice. You have a big variety of cocktails and small things to eat with your drink. Nice place to have aperitif or after work drinks.
I went there Saturday evening to have drinks with my friend. It was quite crowdie but we got a table straightaway. I was really surprised by the prices; it’s less expensive than other bars in Geneva. We started with Hugo cocktails, one of my beloved cocktails 🙂 not many bars serving this; it was a pleasant surprise to see him in the menu. They served our drinks rapidly and as well we got some snacks (homemade bites of focaccia). After we tried Spritz, one more time it was fast service accompanied one more time with snacks (Italian style). Also you can have Paninis or toast made in front of you to escort your drinks. One more positive point that there was a DJ, so its makes ambience more relax.
Me and friend were pleased to come across there, from now will go there more often.
